LYRICS

Twinkle Twinkle little star,
tell me how many planets there are

FIRST comes MERCURY small and fast,
it’s surface is covered with meteorite blasts

TWO is VENUS cloudy and hot,
it has some volcanoes, I almost forgot

THREE is EARTH home to animals and plants,
home to you your mom and your aunts

FOUR is our neighbour MARS,
home to robots and chocolate bars

FIVE is giant JUPITER
it has a great red storm that’s always been there

SIX is pretty SATURN with it’s rings,
made of ice and dust and other things

SEVEN is planet URANUS,
spinnig on it’s side like a platypus

EIGHT is NEPTUNE far and cold,
it is blue and white, so I was told

NINE is a secret planet no one’s seen,
but scientists have calculated where it has been

We all orbit our STAR we call the SUN,
spinnig all around, oh what fun
SOLAR System
SUN
1 MERCURY   2 VENUS 3 EARTH   4 MARS
5 JUPITER   6 SATURN  7 URANUS  8 NEPTUNE
1  MERCURY
close
and
fast
2  VENUS
has a thick atmosphere consiting mainly of CO2.
It is by far the hottest planet in the solar system.
> 400ºC / 800ºF
3  Earth
is the only planet we know so far that provides
conditions for life.
Take good care of it.
4  MARS
So far 14 probes/robots have landed or crashed on Mars.
2 of them are still operational.
Gravity is 62% lower than on Earth.
5  JUPITER
red
Spot
always been there
6  SATURN
it's rings are on on average only 10m thick.
The gaps are caused by small moonlets that are swiping up ice particles on their orbit.
7  URANUS
spins
like a
Platypus
8  NEPTUNE
cold
and
far
9th PLANET
nobody
really
knows

my kid is an alien

Spacecraft
from the animation inspired
by the
Juno spacecraft

it is a NASA space probe orbiting the planet Jupiter.
launched in 08 2011
entered polar orbit in 07 2016

Juno's mission is to measure Jupiter's composition, gravitational field, magnetic field, and polar magnetosphere.
